And we wonder why things never change in Pakistan
Mr. Jahangir Hanif is a 46 year old Pakistani millionaire and politician based in Glasgow. Mr. Hanif has also been campaigning against violent crime. Turns out , Mr. Hanif and family visited Pakistan on a vacation in 2005. During the trip, he took his 14 year old daughter Noor, 11 year old son Ameer, 10 year old daughter Zainab, 7 year old daugher Amina, and 5 year old daughter Sana, to Kashmir in a blacked-out vehicle to an alleged military-style training base in mountains near Kashmir. At the range all children were encouraged to fire a Kalashnikov (a.k.a. AK-47 assault rifle).
The proud father also took videos of the whole “training” trip. The video footage, passed to the Glasgow Evening Times, shows the youngest daughter Sana, who was 5 at the time, being helped to fire the gun.
Mr. Hanif is currently in Pakistan, and in a statement issued by the party, he said it was “foolish and inappropriate”, but he also said that the event took place over two years ago, long before he became a councillor.
Scottish Conservative justice spokesman Bill Atiken feels the action has made him unsuitable for public office. Mr. Hanif has been suspended by his party, while the newspapers have covered the story under the headline “Councillor Kalashnikov”.
It explains why the rich are the biggest rule violators in Pakistan.

Funny Or Die
Lot of people have questioned my choice of personal pictures which I have been uploading on facebook. Some feel it doesn’t go with my image. Firstly, I wonder what my image is. I don’t know why a totally stuck-up reformer (not sure if I want to be called that) can’t laugh or put smiles on people’s faces. I feel that as a nation we have forgotten how to laugh. The state of things and media’s projection of it, has removed the very capacity to be light-hearted out of this nation’s soul.
All said and done, I stand by my comic side, and I feel quite proud of myself when I’m compared to Rowan Atkinson

Karachi University
Did a lecture on “Presentation, Communication, and Personality” at the Karachi University, last Saturday. Needless to say it was quite an experience talking to so many students. The most amazing part was that there were over a 120 girls, and only about 4 boys. Turns out that’s pretty much the gender ratio at our universities these days.

Black & White Trouble

Ryan and Leo are the hottest dudes in the world today. They’re twin brothers born in Germany. One’s black and the other is white. I can’t help but think of this song.
Ebony and ivory live together in perfect harmony
Side by side on my piano keyboard, oh lord, why dont we?
We all know that people are the same where ever we go
There is good and bad in evryone,
We learn to live, we learn to give
Each other what we need to survive together alive

Bangalore Blasts
7-July-2008 7 low intensity blasts hit Pakistan’s largest and most important city, Karachi.
25-July-2008 7 low intensity blasts have hit India’s I.T. capital of Bangalore.
Is Bangalore becoming a terror capital?
I know bombs are a bad thing, but I wish press and media would go easy on declaring cities “terror capitals”? Pakistan, and Karachi in particular, have suffered terribly because of these hasty claims.

Personality
People often ask me to define my “Personality Quotient” theory. I don’t think any man could have done a better job at it then one of my greatest heroes, Nelson Mandela when he said ““A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination.”
Personality is emotion used intelligently, and intelligence used with emotion and empathy. Personality Quotient for me is the “impact” of one’s personality.

Google Knols Wikipedia
Google’s Knol is finally out of private beta. I “LOVE” wikipedia… but I like “Knol” even better. Wikipedia has claimed to “police” content, but we all know that it’s not always been very effective. Google has chosen the “moderated collaboration” model, which I think is much more effective. I agree that Wikipedia has been a source of “knowledge” and Google’s Knol could end up having a lot of noise, but it was really up to the reader to validate the information from other sources.
